In its infancy, the equatorial archipelagic country of Mesovilla enjoyed unity, peace, and order. Under the guidance of a representative democratic government, the nativesβ lives were simple. As the years passed, the nationβs politicians grew complacent, becoming more concerned with the wealth they amassed while ignoring the social and economic turmoil brewing beneath the surface. Before long, a series of violent social uprisings erupted, followed by the deterioration of law and order. Thus began the two-year period known as the Great Liberation.
In its aftermath, the country of Mesovilla would eventually regain order, but at the cost of 150,000 lives. Under the guise of security and stability, a police state was established. This new form of government proved effective for a time through fear and the subjugation of the masses. Many years later, the country would once again face instability, this time on the brink of civil war.
The province of New Havenport had seceded from the Helix Capital following years of escalating political tensions. Along with seizing a top-secret government research facility and retaining control of the biological weapon being developed, this marked the beginning of the Great Civil War. Mesovilla was thrown into chaos as citizens, soldiers, and officials alike were forced to choose a side. As the Great Civil War raged for eight years, the provincial government eventually threatened to unleash the biological weapon against the capital to secure its complete independence and military supremacy. The conflict finally came to an end after the Helix Capital secured a series of decisive victories against New Havenport before launching a single nuclear strike on the province.
The Helix Capital maintained its dominance and passed increasingly stricter laws, snuffing out whatever freedoms remained. As the years passed, government corruption continued to fester. Among the people, only a few dared to oppose the tyrannical regime. These freedom fighters became the voice of the innocent and the defenders of civil liberties. They are the Aurora Blade.
Once again, the country of Mesovilla is plunged into turmoil. This time, the corruption runs deeper than anyone could have imagined. Many challenges lie ahead as the events unfold before our protagonists. What fate awaits them?
