Hailing from a family with a strong military background, Cooper always aspired to join the esteemed SWAT TROOPER ELITE. However, witnessing his father's struggles with depression and alcoholism post-retirement from the SWAT TROOPER ELITE, which took a toll on the family both emotionally and financially, made him realize the harsh realities of the path he idolized. Before his father's passing from severe liver damage caused by excessive drinking, he made Cooper promise to become a better man than he was and to care for his mother. Taking this pledge seriously, Cooper juggled multiple part-time jobs with his studies to provide for both himself and his mother, even though the family continued to receive a modest military pension. Finally fulfilling his dream of joining the SWAT TROOPER ELITE as an adult, Cooper's joy was short-lived when he received news of his mother's death in an attack on their home province shortly after he visited her while on leave. Assigned to a unit led by General Landmore, he struck up a friendship with Dew, sharing mutual disdain for their duties. Injured during a covert mission at a New Havenport lab facility, Cooper's military career was cut short, leading to an eventual honorable discharge. In the aftermath of the Mesovillain Civil War, he found work as a janitor in the Helix capital, using his job as a distraction from his grief and disillusionment. Though his hardships, Cooper remains observant, steadfast, and deeply values the well-being of others, particularly Elvir.
